DAC Australasian Chapter
A not-for-profit organisation covering the Australasian region in terms of support and operations. This is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) effective 26th May 2025. The primary aim of this chapter is to support the development of children and youth with disabilities.
This chapter is instrumental in planning and organising projects and events across the Australasian region to enhance the development of children and youth with disabilities.

DAC Australasian Chapter Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) for the support and development of differently abled children and youth. This organisation is aimed at creating and nurturing avenues to enhance the development of such children and youth, working in sync with DAC.
DAC Australasian Chapter Ltd is a Public Benevolent Institution endorsed to access the following tax concessions:

FBT Exemption (Effective from 26 May 2025)
DAC Australasian Chapter Ltd is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 26 May 2025. It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
The DAC Australasian Chapter is happy to share the success of the fundraising charity event named ‘MCube Sydney’ on 13th July 2025. This was a public-initiated event during the ‘Meet & Greet with Muthukad’ which happened in Sydney on 06th May 2025 at Pendle Hill, NSW.
The significance of Art and Culture-Based interventions for the empowerment of children with special needs is proven. Art is closely associated with culture, and access to cultural life is a human right that benefits individuals, families, communities, and societies.

Swaralaya 2026
On Saturday, 14 Nov 2026, DAC Australasian Chapter will host Swaralaya 2026, a major live charity musical concert at the Redgum Function Centre in Wentworthville, Sydney. Commencing at 5:30 PM, the flagship cultural evening features a star-studded lineup of acclaimed artists, including folk-fusion sensation Athul Narukara (famous for 'Palappalli'), award-winning playback singer and SaReGaMaPa Keralam winner Swetha Ashok, and dynamic live vocalist and keyboard maestro Shino Paul.
Beyond delivering an extraordinary evening of live music and cultural entertainment, Swaralaya 2026 serves a profound social purpose. Operating under DAC Australasian Chapter’s 100% charitable allocation model, all event proceeds directly fund free STEM projets, digital literacy training, and therapeutic arts programs for neurodiverse and differently-abled youth across Greater Sydney. By uniting the community through music and social action, the concert creates lasting opportunities for youth empowerment, skill development, and inclusive participation.
EmpowerAble Family Connect
EmpowerAble Family Connect is an exclusive, sensory-friendly family day and talent circle hosted by DAC Australasian Chapter Ltd in partnership with Tara Community Care. Scheduled for Saturday, 14 November 2026 (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) at the Redgum Function Centre in Wentworthville, the event is specially tailored for neurodiverse and differently-abled children, young adults, their parents, carers, and support networks. Offered with free entry upon pre-registration, the gathering provides a comfortable and welcoming environment with sensory accommodations, noise considerations, and tailored catering options.
The program highlights a dedicated Talent Circle, giving young participants a supportive, judgment-free stage where they can build self-confidence by sharing talents such as singing, instrumental music, dance, magic, or public speaking. Alongside the stage showcase, the event features an interactive information session led by Tara Community Care, providing parents and carers with practical guidance, support topics, and community resources. By creating an inclusive space that caters to individual needs, EmpowerAble Family Connect strengthens community connections, supports family wellbeing, and celebrates the unique talents of youth across Western Sydney.
AI for Empowerment: Digital Workshop
On Sat, 24 Oct 2026, DAC Australasian Chapter hosted AI for Empowerment: A Community Session on Artificial Intelligence and Online Safety at the Upstairs Hall of Bluemoon Restaurant in Pendle Hill, NSW (11:30 AM – 2:00 PM). Delivered as part of the nationwide Get Online Week 2026 campaign supported by Good Things Foundation Australia under the Australian Government's digital inclusion framework, this initiative was completely free to attend and included a complimentary light lunch for all participants.
Led by industry experts Jyothi Rinish (AI Quality Analyst) and Lakshmi Achuth (AI Engineer, CBA), the interactive session covered practical everyday AI tools, assistive communication technologies, cybersecurity, and scam prevention. Designed to foster digital confidence and technological equity in a welcoming and accessible environment, the workshop offered hands-on demonstrations to empower community members with essential online skills to navigate modern technologies safely.
First Anniversary Family Day Event
On Sunday, 12 July 2026, DAC Australasian Chapter celebrated its first anniversary with a vibrant Anniversary Family Day at the Redgum Function Centre in Wentworthville, running from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Offered with completely free entry, the community event brought together local families to celebrate talent, inclusion, and multicultural diversity. Highlights of the morning included a captivating cultural showcase and a special children’s talent performance that placed young stars front and center, alongside a bustling multicultural food festival featuring a traditional community breakfast, live BBQ, and diverse global snacks.
To streamline the day and maximize community impact, attendees were provided a dedicated online link to pre-order their favorite dishes ahead of time. In line with the organization's charitable mission, every cent of the food proceeds went directly toward funding programs that support and empower differently-abled children and young adults. Uniting food, festivities, and social purpose, the milestone event marked an inspiring first year for DAC Australasian Chapter while laying a strong foundation for ongoing community inclusion across Greater Sydney.
Rhythm & Dreams: live musical performance
On Saturday, 29 November 2025, DAC Australasian Chapter hosted Rhythm & Dreams 2025 at the Redgum Function Centre in Wentworthville, Sydney, organized in association with the Sydney-based Chosen Music Band. Opening its doors at 4:00 PM with performances starting at 5:00 PM, the evening brought the community together for a vibrant live celebration featuring music, fashion, and dance, creating a welcoming space for cultural expression and social connection.
The event featured dynamic performances by the Chosen Music Band, led by Band Lead Suresh Kuttichen alongside lead vocalists Gemini Tharakan, Renny, Jini, and Sangeeth. Specializing in a rich repertoire of Bollywood, Tamil, and Malayalam music, the ensemble delivered an engaging showcase that united community members through artistic excellence and a shared sense of purpose.
Digital Literacy & Inclusion Workshop
On 25 October 2025, DAC Australasian Chapter hosted an interactive Digital Literacy Seminar at Pendle Hill in Sydney, NSW, as part of Good Things Foundation Australia’s national Get Online Week campaign (20–26 October 2025). As a registered Australian charity dedicated to supporting differently abled children and youth, the organisation held this event to connect neurodiverse young people, parents, and carers with accessible technologies. By bringing families and support networks together in a welcoming environment, the workshop highlighted the critical role of equitable digital access in building stronger, more connected communities.
The hands-on session provided participants with practical, step-by-step training tailored to their individual needs, focusing on core competencies such as digital tools, internet safety protocols, and the practical use of adaptive assistive tools (AI). Through direct guidance and encouraging support, the workshop empowered community members with the functional online skills and confidence they need to navigate the digital world safely and effectively.
M-cube Sydney: Music, Motivation & Magic
‘M-cube Sydney’ took a three-dimensional approach to activating Sydneysiders' minds using Music, Motivation, and Magic. At M-cube Sydney, the event participants enjoyed magical illusions and world-class motivational tips from the legendary Gopinath Muthukad, along with soul-stirring music by Swetha Ashok, Athul Narukara, and Vishnu Ashok.
The event was on Sunday, 13th July 2025. Time: 4:30 PM (for a 5:00 PM start).

This fundraising charity event was aimed at bringing together the Sydneysider community in support of Different Art Centre (DAC), especially for the new centre (IIPD - International Institute of People with Disabilities) in Kasaragod, Kerala, which is under construction. The profit from the ‘M-cube Sydney’ event will go directly towards the development of the new DAC in Kasaragod, Kerala, India.
Magic and Motivational Workshop for Children
A Magic and Motivational Workshop for Children, led by renowned Magician and Motivational Speaker Gopinath Muthukad, took place in Blacktown, NSW.
The Magic Workshop with Gopinath Muthukad took place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, organised by DAC Australasian Chapter at the Wattle Room, Workers Club in Blacktown (55 Campbell St, Blacktown NSW 2148). Tailored for children aged eight and older, the interactive morning workshop ran from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM, providing young participants with a supportive, hands-on environment to learn magic skills, build self-confidence, and spark creative expression.
This workshop served as a key precursor activity leading up to the main charity event, M-cube Sydney (Music, Magic, and Motivation). By combining foundational skill-building sessions with the flagship showcase, the initiative reflected DAC Australasian Chapter’s commitment to empowering youth and fostering community inclusion through therapeutic arts and motivation.
